UniMAP has a good network of collaboration with the agro-industry and government agencies that can provide an agri-TVET training platform to help local communities become mushroom agropreneurs. Various initiatives are provided through this program such as periodic technical training, a monthly allowance of RM2000 during the training period and also technical assistance from UniMAP. During the training period, program participants will be trained until they obtain the Malaysian Skills Certificate Level 3 (SKM3). Financial assistance and technical support like this allows local communities to expand their potential in the future and improve their standard of living.

The tube well system is used to obtain a sustainable source of water for aquaculture projects at INSAT which is stored in storage tanks before use. The freshwater fish farming project using the INSAT aquaculture facility has used this tube well facility to clean the Affordable Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS BM600) before starting the fish farming project. This system produces clean water with permitted chemical content for freshwater fish farming purposes. Apart from that, this water is also used for irrigation in several crop plots such as corn and other crops.

A knowledge transfer and demonstration program on agricultural robots, namely Remote Control Grass Machines, was held at the Cabana Hill harumanis orchard, Abi, Perlis. This hands-on course was organized together with the Perlis Harumanis Cooperative (KOHAMAS) and several harumanis orchard owners around the state of Perlis. This course aims to promote innovative products that have been developed by UniMAP so that this project can benefit the farmers. Throughout this program, several instructors from the Institute of Sustainable Agrotechnology, UniMAP have provided guidance on technical aspects including DC motor technology, methods for identifying machine problems and periodic servicing of this product. This course, which was attended by the Chairman of Kohamas, Mr. Ahmad Puat bin Mat Kasim and other Harumanis farmers, involved the Abi area and nearby areas. This half-day course successfully provided additional knowledge on the latest technology that can be applied in the agricultural field, especially those involving farm operations that require high operating costs.

A knowledge transfer and demonstration program of innovative products related to the use of crop pest repellent tools, namely Crop Pest Repellent Tools, was held at the Cabana Hill farm, Abi, Perlis. This program was organized together with the Harumanis Perlis Cooperative (KOHAMAS) involving harumanis farmers around Perlis with the aim of providing more detailed exposure regarding the use and maintenance of this innovative product which uses the IoT system, electronic technology applications and methods for repairing equipment damage. This program was attended by the Chairman of Kohamas, Mr. Ahmad Puat bin Mat Kasim and 40 other Harumanis farmers. Throughout this program, instructors from UniMAP provided guidance on the technical aspects of using this tool. This half-day course successfully provided additional knowledge regarding the latest technology that can be applied in the agricultural field.
