The World Bank is launching a competition for students for input into the next World Development Report 2019: "The Changing Nature of Work". The draft Report is available online for public review and is updated every Friday: https://pubdocs.worldbank.org/en/816281518818814423/2019-WDR-Draft-Report.pdf. The Report analyzes the impact of technology on workers and firms, the implications for human capital accumulation, and potential social protection reforms to help with the adjustment.
We would appreciate any assistance you can provide in raising awareness of the competition among your students. The competition provides an opportunity for students to share real-life stories that illustrate the issues discussed in the Report. In particular, we want to know how different actors, including governments, cities, universities, firms, or individuals, are taking advantage of opportunities created by the changing nature of work. Three cash prizes of $5000 each will be awarded to the students providing the winning examples. 4th International Conference on Environmental Science and Technology (ICOEST) will promote and disseminate the knowledge concerning several topics and technologies related to Environmental Science and Technology.
The main goal of ICOEST is to bring together researchers, scientists and experts in universities, companies, institutions, communities, agencies, associations and societies to provide them a unique platform for sharing worldwide ideas as well as the recent developments on environmental science and technology.
Special sessions, invited speakers, poster and oral presentations, and thesis presentations will be included to the conference program.
