Institute of Sustainable Agrotechnology
The Institute of Sustainable Agrotechnology (INSAT) is a department under the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Research and Innovation that focuses on developing agricultural technology innovations. It provides farm-based ecosystem services for research, teaching, and learning purposes, as well as Agri-TVET training plots and technology transfer to students and the local community. INSAT oversees the development of UniMAP AgroNexus, an agricultural project framework that involves industry, agencies, communities, and alumni in agro-food production and freshwater fish farming projects. Several INSAT research project also focus on commercializing agricultural innovations for use by agencies and the agricultural industry in Malaysia.
